Ok can someone tell more about the 8bitdomain 7800 VIDEO MOD BOARD? Does it work in 2600 mode or it just works in 7800 mode?

Works in all modes, with great simulated stereo, and worth every penny.

 

If you wanted one installed for you, with a jacks install, OSG offers that service with 8BitDomain hardware. IC removal is not for everyone.

It works for everything the 7800 was made to handle including all 2600 and 7800 games through a CC2.

 

And here's a vote for OSG and omne, I've used my s-video/composite modded 7800 that he did for me with my Cuttle Cart 2 just about every day for the last few months. He did a great job.

The 8BitDomain board is certainly a well-thought-out modification: it's small and well-made and keeps soldering to a minimum. Just be prepared to wait for it if you buy it directly from 8BitDomain: it took me about five weeks and a few follow-up e-mails before I got mine, and by the time it arrived, I had learned to build my own circuit for a lot less money and sold the 8BitDomain board. That's a lot more work and requires some serious soldering, though.
