NightSprinter
Just like the topic states, is it really worth it for those of us who have a damaged/fried motherboard to fix them using new ICs or should I just buy a new board from Best Electronics altogether? I love how the XEGS is a fully-fledged console AND computer in one.. but after I stupidly fried the board with a C64 power supply I'd like to get my XEGS unit back up and running. Does anyone have suggestions as to what I should do? P.S. (warning: off-topic) Does anyone have a map for the game "Draconus"? I can NEVER figure out where I'm going outside of getting the transformation, defense, and illusion blocker items.

NightSprinter
YES! Thank you! I've been looking for that. Now to go back on-topic, anyone have an answer regarding the XEGS board?
birdie3
I see loose XEGS consoles on ebay all the time. That is probably your best short of posting in the Wanted forum. Don't waste your money on a new XEGS mobo.
+Mitch
I think I have a spare XEGS with power supply, no keyboard. Let me know if you are interested. Mitch

NightSprinter
Be quiet, Patrick. But yeah, I'll send you a PM Mitch. Maybe I could at least see if I can get a friend to de-solder the 12294B (XL/XE POKEY) chip and use it when I can spare some cash from next term's disbursement for a CC2.
