Trackball Support - Atari800Win PLus

Has anyone had any success using trackball support with Centipede, either the 8-bit version or the conversion from the 5200. I can't get either to work.

I've tried all ports and speeds in the config. Do you have to have an actual trackball hooked up to your pc? I've used many other supported device types with the mouse and they seem to work fine.

I know I've heard it talked about many times on the 5200 forum, that the 5200 version of Centipede does support it (and very well). Was something lost in the 8-bit conversion of this.

Does the 8-bit version support the trackball (I'm using the cartridge version)?

I also tried using the trackball feature on the actual 5200 version in Atari800Win PLus to no avail.

Joystick play just doesn't cut it. This game was meant for a trackball.

The 8 bit version doesn't support Trak-ball. And for the 5200 version, in Mouse Options, you have to set Emulated Device to "Joystick". The "Atari Trak-ball" option is for 8-bit computers only.

I thought that was the case, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Works better than using a joystick. Probably even better if you have a trackball hooked up to your pc. They should support the 5200 mode better in aw8p. Thanks for the help.

Should be able to select: Input->Mouse Device->Atari Trackball, in a8wp when using: Atari->Machine Type->5200, or have a special listing for "5200 Trackball" if necessary.

When coding paddles/mouse/trackball emulation I wasn't aware of the 5200 trackball. Therefore "Trak-ball" means just CX22 or CX80 and not the 5200 controller.

I need the following information: the "code" of the 5200 trackball, and the list of games that support it.
