Christophero Sly
Is the 8-bit cartridge version of Congo Bongo identical to the 5200 version of Congo Bongo?
Tempest
Sadly yes. Both are sub-par ports at best. Why they couldn't add the other two levels I'll never know. Strange thing is, I loved the game back in the day. Of course I didn't know there were two missing levels... Tempest
Goochman
Congo Bongo is a horrible effort - dont you have to hit the reset button to restart the game.......... Bad graphics - sound - movement.......... I wasnt a fun of the arcade game so this was no loss for me.

I did not know what I was missing because I never played the arcade.
Christophero Sly
Sadly yes. Both are sub-par ports at best. Why they couldn't add the other two levels I'll never know. I've always loved Congo Bongo, but there isn't a decent version to be had on any Atari system, unless there is some disk-based A8 version I'm unaware of. I guess my last hope is that the CV version is acceptable. Edited January 6, 2006 by Christophero Sly
Tempest
I *think* the Apple II version had all four screens. I'll have to check. Tempest
