crash
Greetings, My XF551 disk drive died yesterday due to a bad solder joint on the power connector. By the time I figured this out and repaired it, the board was apparently damaged. Now, when it powers on, the led flashes as usual, but I can't boot from the drive nor will it show up. Does anyone have an XF551 with a dead mech, or the main board for sale? Thanks!
+Guitarman
Make sure to re-solder the SIO connectors as these were very fragile on the XF551. This may be your problem. I had to do the same on one of mine. Edited January 11, 2006 by Guitarman
