Trey
I have aquired 2 Xonox carts that come up with a picture but the picture rolls. My instinct is to adjust the vertical control but modern TVs don't have such dials. Any ideas on what's wrong? In my 300+ carts I have had, these are the first 2 that don't work. liquid_sky
Ok, you probally have dirty connectors on the cart. Here some detailed instructions along with pictures. http://www.atariage.com/howto/clean_cartridges.html
Trey
Yeah, I tried cleaning and it didn't help. What has me suspicious is that I have 2 carts (4 actually) all with the exact same symptoms. Sound is fine but picture rolls. Like there is a syncing problem.
liquid_sky
Well, what are the carts you got? As far as I know.. all Xonox games are NTSC, so we can also rule out that.. youve cleaned the connectors so we can rule that out.. i dont know what else it could be. Osbo
might be a 'rare' pal version? u never know... Osbo
bassmanzoo
Its not that 7800/2600 incompatability thingy that I read about in another post?? One of my Activision carts rolls when I play it on my 7800 (its the only one) but works fine in my 2600 or my Colecovision. I was stuffed until i read the post about it..put it in a 2600...no more problems Cheers Mark
Trey
I'm running in my 2600. I've tried both the original wood grain and the atari jr consoles.
StanJr
I have a red label Solaris that behaves the same way (and consequently makes me very sad). Somebody said something about running the VCS through a VCR, but my girlfriend won't let me try it. (I am SO whipped)
Trey
I tried the VCR trick but no dice. I even have one of those old VCRs with manual tuning and I couldn't get it to work. Were there any PAL versions of Xonox carts made?
