dr. kwack
I recently acquired The Living Daylights for my 800XL. The game is on cassette. The tape was new and I got it to load once. Since then- no go. It usually craps out about halfway thru loading. Is there a fix for this, am I doing something wrong, is the tape shot or what? Is there any way for me to convert the tape to disk? There can be many reasons for problems with loading cassettes. 20+year-old magnetic media can be tricky to work with, and 20+year-old cassette decks no less so. I'm always surprised at the large proportion of cassettes that seem to be OK after all this time. I have many more problems with 1010s, 410s and other devices than with the cassettes themselves. Which version of the game do you have?
