ckirkman
Ok, so I am new to the Forums, but I have had my 5200 since new. My parents saved it and gave it back when they were cleaning house about 6 years ago. I had not played it since 1990. Long story short I have all the games and most conversions. I have Masterplay Interface, Wico and Competition pro controllers. I now have the Masterplay Pro and THIS SURPASSES THEM ALL!!! I'm still testing but it is working as he said. Geotrick
.... On the back of the trakball enclosure I will use the existing cable from the trakball to the 5200, but I will need to add a new DB15 male connector (for an analog joystick), a DB9 male connector (for a digital joystick) and a small pot to select the autofire autotrigger rate, that way case machining would be kept to an absolute minimum. The trackball controller has two PCB's inside, one on the bottom for the trakball controller and the other on the top for the keypads and buttons. So I decided to produce a replacement PCB for the top board. Making it easy to upgrade with a simple snap-in board swap. I have added some pictures below...... Greetings, I am curious if there have been any updates to the availablity of the upper board PCB and SELEDEVICE control panel cover? Thanks in advance Geotrick

If I had know they were available, I surely would have tried to make a purchase!

I would have bought one of these in a second. Allan The price was the main drawback of the board, especially a small production run. Mainly because of the size of the board (9" x 4.5" = 40sq inches). I would have to sell them for $80-$90 each which would be more than most would want to pay for an upgrade board. However, if there are any who don't shudder at the price, I can look into making a small quantity 10-12. PM me if interested. Mike

mimo
so can a paddle be used with this?, also does the keyboard replacement/overlay come with the kit?
S1500
I love the 3x4 array of labeled lights. It reminds me something out of Knight Rider. "Kitt, get me out of here!"
8bitdomain
so can a paddle be used with this?, also does the keyboard replacement/overlay come with the kit? Yes the overlay is included. I don't think that the 2600 paddles will work but I will check into it. You would probably need to modify a standard 5200 joystick with a knob & pot. I have seen discussions of this on other 5200 threads. Mike
mimo
I thought the paddles would be a problem, just trying to save myself yet another project. Anyone got a dead 5200 stick they would like to donate?
ckirkman
I have had this for just over a year and it still works great. Yes, my modified 5200 controller (to a paddle, 2600 pot and knob) works also. Get one if you can.
