My 5200 just died?

I was just playing Super Breakout, when

the screen suddenly got slightly corrupted,

the game froze up, and and random white

pixels scattered around the screen where

they shouldn't have been. So, I cycled the

power off, then back on; Now, no games

will boot up. It will power up, and it seems

the system recognizes that a game is in

the unit, but I get no picture or sound at

all anymore! I get an orange screen with

no game inserted, and a greyish screen

with any game. Anyone had this happen

before? Is there anything I can do about

this? Help! Is my 5200 officially dead now?

I've got the 4-port 5200 and so that uses

a special switch box. Could it possibly be

the switch box that died, not the system?

I had almost the exact same thing happen to me with my 5200, and funny enough it was when playing Super Breakout as well. It ended up being the 6502, but I have heard where the RAM goes bad as well...

You can buy the parts from Best Electronics (that would be a risk buy without knowing for sure what's wrong). You might also consider getting another motherboard. I think thats around $35.
