accousticguitar
I found this great website that has like 2,500 ATR files on it. http://www.mushca.com/f/atari/index.php The funny thing is, there are still some games they don't have, so I was wondering if anybody knows any other websites that have ATR's on them. I tried atarimania, but most of their stuff seems to be rom files which don't work on my 800xl.
Rybags
Vjetnam games archive - heaps of games: http://vjetnam.hopto.org/ XL Search might turn up something: http://www.newbreedsoftware.com/xlsearch/ I might have to write a ROM loader - but a lot of ROM images out there probably still have the "self-destruct" copy protection in them. jetset
http://atari.fandal.cz/index.php http://atari.online.pl/v01/index.phtml?ct=nowinki ftp://atari.fornax.sk/pub/atari/8bit/ Some files are in .xex format. For that, there's a program you can use to convert them to .atr files. If you can't find on the web and want it PM me I'll give it to you... deathtrappomegranate
I tried atarimania, but most of their stuff seems to be rom files which don't work on my 800xl. Only a small proportion of the stuff at Atarimania is ROM files. There are hundreds of .atr files, as well as .cas cassette images and executables. The vast majority of them will work on XL machines. Here's a link to the disk software in Atarimania's 8-bit database: http://www.atarimania.com/lst_soft-MENU-8-...RSION_D7-1.html Unfortunately, we have plenty of disks still to image, but you will find lots of .atr files in those 20+ pages of listings. accousticguitar
I guess I was wrong about Atarimania. Sometimes it's good to be wrong. Thanks for the info!
