Pitfalldrew
I recently recieved a 4-port 5200 (with the funky RF adapter) as a birthday present. The power supply is bad. Do I need to replace it with another 5200 power supply, ot can I use a multi-purpose power supply?
JB
As long as you match the polarity and get close on the voltage, any old power supply will do.
simbalion
A nice thing I found out is that the 4 port and 2 port 5200s use the same power supply packs. One just plugs into an RF box instead of the system. That would make finding a power pack easy to find. One other thing: don't they have fuses inside the pack? If that is the case, it might just need a new fuse.
