Anyone from near Portland, Oregon (potatohead, that means you ;) ) should check out this wonderful site called For Portlanders Only. It's not really only for Portlanders, it's just a lot of the jokes won't make sense if you're not from near the Willamette Valley. But that's not to say you shouldn't visit if you're not from Oregon. Anyway, I stumbled on to this site for some reason, and since I get Portland stations, I've donated a whole bunch of videos to the video section, which for the most part are commercials for local stores, channel identifications, and stuff like that. The videos go way back to 1979, when VCRs first came out. We had a VCR in 1979, but I don't have any tapes from then. My earliest tape is from October 1983 (wonder what happened to those tapes?) Well, anyway, the guy who runs the site is great, he provided most of them and the ones that say "donated by Chris Read" are mine. He'll be adding way more in the future because I'm working on another DVD and so far it's over 90 minutes of local stuff. Here's the link:
