Would be nice if we can get another new years disc for 2008 too! Everyone who wants to contribute, send your work to ppsberlin_at_web_dot_de until new year starts. I´ll try to put all together... Tezz
dely... who did the msx? it is one of my fave Atari ST games... wings of death? right? Yes, I noticed this too in Miker's example songs in RMT recently, it's a cool conversion of Mad Max's level 2 Wings of Death, i like it a lot. timofonic
That's a great idea, but why not preparing it earlier? Then more contents could be in the discs Anyways, waiting to see new stuff from a8 coders Edited December 24, 2007 by timofonic
pps
Hehe, that´s the fun. 7 days for brainstorming and some little projects. Every entry is welcome, no matter if it´s only a screen, demo, multipart, a little tool, a game or what else. This "competition" is to be a productive ending of the old year, to welcome the new one. +CharlieChaplin
Well, I would start a new topic and name it something like "New Years Demo 2008" and in the following years NYD 2009, 2010, etc. - so the topic does not get lost and the newest stuff (of the actual year) is always on top... -Andreas Koch. pseudografx
I just converted one of radixes songs with some christmas jingle at the beginning so if anyone is interested in using it in his production, feel free to ask :-)
pps
If nobody wants the music for a unique production, you can send it to me, and I add some picture to it, so there is a little "pictro". btw another picture is done already by me for the disc. I´ll release the g2f files right after the disc, so anybody who is interestet in it can use them.

Rybags
Last minute effort here - work in progress for the last few hours. nye1.zip It's NYE already here. If someone could add some music to this one, it would be cool. Graphics + code occupies $7A00 to $9FFF. Picture is just one I found through Google. Photoshopped it to resize and to create seperate BMPs with Colour and Luma components. Plenty of room to the left for something - maybe a fine scrolly in Gr. 8. There's a little garbage in the graphics - I've been doing it kinda quick&dirty by just coding stuff in the A800Win+ monitor, and using a BASIC program which loads the graphics data and generates the DList. Rybags
nye2.zip - standard size nye3.zip - larger scrolling text A bit more refined. APAC picture with scroller. I've got the process worked out for a much better scroller with cylindrical effect, but short on time... need sleep. RAM usage $7400 through $9FFF. Looks much better on a real machine than in the emulator. ed: changed the look of the text. Edited December 30, 2007 by Rybags
Heaven/TQA
Rybags... Cool...and really coded in monitor?
Rybags
Only coded the DLI and some of the init stuff in the monitor. Haven't got any PC based ASM setup at the moment, just used the Atari ASM in the emu to do the scroller. It's almost bearable with F7 turbo - even at 30 times speed, Assemblies can still be a bit slow.
