A.B Cop (Air Bike Cop)

Game: A.B. Cop (Air Bike Cop) Developer/Publisher: Sega Year: 1990 Hardware: X Board Note: After Burner, Super Monaco GP and Thunder Blade arcade games also run on the X Board.   A.B. Cop is just Chase H.Q. (from Taito) but with some few twist. You control a very fast Air Bike (hence “A.B.” in the title) and your goal is to knock down enemy bikes. Part one of the stage is to knock down the regular bikes. They are usually six bikes in the stage and they take about one-three hits. You

Elevator Action Returns/Elevator Action II

Game: Elevator Action Returns/Elevator Action II Developer/Publisher: Taito Year: 1994 Hardware: Taito F3 Note: Part of the Taito Legends II pack (which were just release in the US) for various platforms (PS2 and PC, others might be included).   It took Taito over ten years to make a sequel to one of the most popular arcade titles of the 80s. Elevator Action Returns is pretty much the first game but with more action, better graphics (of course since this game was made in 1994), a

G.I. Joe

Game: G.I. Joe Developer/Publisher: Konami Year: 1992 Hardware: Xexex Based Note: Based of the cartoon/action figure/comic series.   I never read, watch, or purchase anything from G.I. Joe, but I do have to admit this game from Konami was very good.   A rail shooter which you control one of four members of G.I. Joe, your mission is to destroy Cobra and his evil forces. When shooting at the enemies try to destroy everything as possible for more points and for more powerups. Enemies

Rad Mobile

This will be the start of this type of blog. I prefer bogging about arcade titles which you can play on MAME that you'll most likely never herd of before. Also I prefer not to talk too much about it as possible. I just want you to give it an try.   And of course my English skills are not so great.   Game: Rad Mobile Developer/Publisher: Sega Year: 1991 Hardware: System 32 (Sega Saturn was based of this hardware for the 2D department) Note: First Sega 32-bit arcade game   You

May already?

I'm suprise May is already here!   The weather is going to be warmer, and they'll be more gaming partys at my house.   Anyway, I'm trying to wrap up my NGCD collection before CGE rolls in.   Then I'll get most of the Atari games I need or the Genesis/Megadrive stuff.

Follow up to the last entrie.

And now the video:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u16o997bzJ8   The guy in the grey shirt: A man who's missing a lot of teeth, but will pawn you in Street Fighter II.   The guy in the red shirt with black hat (Danny): The regular at the arcades, usually comes in on Fridays (when there's a lot of people), but he deside to stop by today and chill out.   The guy in the black with glasses ("Moses" is his nickname): One of my best friends, and believe it or not he's Jewish (converted).

What bugging the manager can do at the mini-arcade

OK it's storytime from Fighter17!   Five minutes away from my house is the bowling alley (the only one in my city). In most bowling allies there's a mini-arcade with some pinball and arcade machines.   When I first walked in the arcade three months ago the selection was horrible. Bunch of redneck hunting games and this ultra lame bowling game from Incredible Technologies. The only OK one was this Ultracade machine which most of the emulation in the games were horrible (the arcade machine

Visit Armchair Arcade please!

Note: English is not my strong point, so you'll find grammar errors and blah blah blah.   http://www.armchairarcade.com/neo/   Different blogers post news stories up in the video game and the retro computing world (and other things as well).   Co-Founders Matt Barton and Bill Loguidice really know their news.   But really, it's a very good website for information that most people don't know about their video game habits.   Cheers,   F17

Which one is better, Dragon Lair or Cobra Command?

Note: English is not my strong point, so you'll find grammar errors and blah blah blah.   Laserdisc fans (which are not many to being with) are so up the ante with Dragon Lair that it’s driving me crazy.   Tell any fan what’s your favorite Laserdisc game and 80% of the time the answer will be Dragon Lair.   Why they said Dragon Lair? It was most likely their first Laserdisc game they ever played in their lives.   Remember the arcade graphics back in the 80s? When you saw movie-like

<br />Dragster is more than six seconds…..

Note: English is not my strong point, so you'll find grammar errors and blah blah blah.   For being one of the first Activistion titles, Dragster for the VCS shouldn’t take you too long to finish. For being about a six second game, Dragster will not hold your attention for too long.   Well, the game did hold my attention for two hours this morning.   I don’t know why. Is trying to shift gears at the right time is really that fun?   Trying to get less than five seconds is all that great

Wizard of Wor gives me the fuzzy feeling

Note: English is not my strong point, so you'll find grammar errors and blah blah blah.   First post in my new blog.   Bragging to my friend last week that I’ve receive the Modded VCS lot from member “FABombjoy,” he finally stop by today and wanted to see the system, controllers, and the games. (Read more about the lot here)   After explaining about the history of Atari in the nutshell, we played one of the best two player games for the VCS, the Midway classic Wizard of Wor (ported on
