It's weird. I actually like the YouTube fan creations as much as the show itself.

Don't let the "brony" thing get to you. In fact I rarely mention I watch MLP just because of the misconceptions, and I doubt I'd ever go to a con - I'm not that devoted to it and never could be. It's just a fun way to kill 30 minutes (24 or so if you watch it on Netflix.)
