This...this is so sad. I scored 112,635 points!Total Games: 8Total Points: 991,760I needed 8,240 more points to get 1 million. And I was so sure I was going to do it too. What got me? Well, for some reason I lost a ship at about 2k. I was freaking out, figuring I would have a repeat of last night. Nope. I get to about 111k and the first Invader on the most right column struck me down. Bummer. Next screen, the same freaking Invader got me again. BOO! I was so confident and sure I was going to do this...but NO!Oh well, look at it like this...I AM getting 1 million points in 9 days. If I somehow don't....something is VERY wrong. But I'm not going to worry...like I said, something to try and beat. Anyways, I've got to say this for some odd reason. I've seen before "the score rolls at 9,999". Um...no it doesn't. If you can score 9,999 on the Atari 2600 Space Invaders...please tell me how you do it! The highest value the score will display is 9,995 (seeing as how the ones digit will always be a 0 or 5)....then once you score 5 or more points, the score goes back to 0000 or 0XXX depending if you shot a UFO or an Invader worth 10 or more points. Dunno why I had to say that...I just did.Anyways, usually the first 20k points for me goes by fast then the game slows down. Tonight it slowed down at about 90k...time just flew by! I had fun tonight. Oh well, in case I haven't said, on Wednesday nights from about 7-10 I watch a group play D&D cause I'm trying to learn to play. I have no idea why I don't play the game earlier in the day (cause I'm usually off on Wednesdays)....so unless I play a game earlier in the day, I'm going to play a game after 10 so expect the blogs to be late at night.I'm going to go but let's all cheer for me tomorrow...I need 8,240 points and I will have scored at least 1 million, in 9 games, in 9 days. I know I can freaking do this!
