I thought I was going to be stumped by this one. Woke up and the song was in my head. Thing is pretty much the only thing that was going through my head was the music and the lyrics "wrote me a letter". So I did a Google search with just typing that and came up with Joe Cocker. Then discovered that was wrong. The next entry was The Letter by The Box Tops. That was it! This is a song I've probably heard dozens of times if not over 100 in my life. But I never paid too much attention to the lyrics. The song is very basic, not too many lyrics and only like 2 minutes long. If you decide to listen to it, enjoy it. Decided to link it.
