Wait! I'm happy with my Vista.

I can make movies and games with it.

Vista is still supported by Microsoft for another year, kinda silly to drop it early by Chrome.

XP is still used by many... the US Navy PC's will have to use Firefox!

People will keep using it whether it's supported or not. Hell, the French international airport still runs their mainframe on Windows 3.1.

True. But if you go to few sites, they will tell you to update your browser or update the last version of java.

I personally use Windows XP on daily basis which was the pinnacle of Microsoft's creations for me through VirtualBox-virtual machine. Within virtual machine Windows XP is safely isolated from the internet and the dangers while providing the functionality with old programs.

Even Oracle is abandoning Java-plugin for browsers:

Maybe a secure, stable OS based on Linux as main OS and put older operating systems such as Vista within virtual machines and along with browsers equipped with Java-plugin to keep your host OS safe.
