Okay.. so I created an about me page... ABOUT METhat should at least introduce myself and satisfy the "why a girl likes Atari" :ponder: I've been going on job interviews ... fun... I had a company make me an offer yesterday, I counter offered, so I'm waiting today to hear back... I work in radio and as laid off in December due to budget cuts... Yeah.. Merry Christmas, we cant pay you.... great... Anyway... Hopefully, this company will accept my counter offer, and I'll be working in the next week or so.... The time off has been fun, but funds running low. Thanks all who have sent me a warm welcome... :D Cherylann a.k.a.SI

Welcome to the world of Atari blogging. I too got laid off around Christmas (right when I got back from my vacation :) ). In the end, it's worked out to be much better and the change has done me a lot of good. I'm back to working in television again from something totally unrelated, but I've seen a lot of general broadcasting contracts. If there are any parts you're a little unsure about, I'd be happy to take a look at them and tell you what I think.

Anyway, congrats on the new job. And, if in the future you're ever looking for information on the industry (market sizes, ownership information, etc.) be sure to look me up, I have a ton of resources (a filing cabinet full) and would be happy to help a fellow Atarian out.

Thanks.. Yeah, I've been in radio for 10 years.. I read your blog btw, and agree, broadcasting is a move around job... and most GMs or CEOs are sitting fat, and running the company into the ground... people arent important.. numbers are... sadly

I haven't bought a house in the market yet... I guess I'll wait awhile this time. I'm renting a great place with an orange grove on the water... so I'm happy here for the moment..

What market are you in??? I'm not too familiar with Kansas... Jacksonville is market 48 or so... it changes every year or two...

Take care..
