"Ron Glass, who shot to fame with his role on the television series Barney Miller, has sadly died at the age of 71. The actor died on Friday (November 25) after a battle with various illnesses, his rep told TMZ."

He was so much fun because he was a grounded man in a sci-fi series. We are really going to miss him. :/ Naturally we liked him first in Barney Miller and Firefly. Two shows on completely other ends of the spectrum and show the diversity of this talented actor.
