I'm done for the day. There are apparently some timing issues with moving between horizontal rooms. This is probably just a branch or something being pushed over a page boundary again. I'll deal with it when I jump back into the code for the next version.

 

There are now two objects, both operating differently. The heart's been given an AI routine to make it flash it's color. Otherwise it acts the same way it use to as I haven't altered the Heart Placer function to fill up the item slots randomly.

 

Additionally I added a black key. When you touch it, it'll position itself next to you and move with you. Indefinitely. There's no way to drop it for now. You can pick it up and move it around in the rooms. You'll see how the object manager handles 2 sprites together when you move it in a room with a heart.

 

There are a couple of different sources of extra-scanline errors that have made themselves noticed with this version. They aren't critical on an emulator although i'm sure it'll cause a real TV to roll. Those are probably going to be the main focus of the next version but I'll also update the heart placer to fill up the item slots so that flicker can be observed just so there's a real difference in the rom between versions. :ponder:
