THOUGHT I'D REVISIT this topic again this year. :)

-I have two big 2600 projects that have been kicking around in my head for a while; I'd like to make some significant headway on one or the other this year. One is an RPG for the supercharger, the other is a 32K+ Street Fighter II-ish fighting game.

-I'd like to possibly do something for the A800. Though I might be satisfied just porting Squish 'Em to the 5200; I'm about halfway there already.

-Create a PAL60 version of Elevators Amiss.

-Possibly write something for the GBA. I've been kicking this around for a while, but the graphics-requirements are so much higher that it's hard to pick a good project. I've been thinking about porting Elevators Amiss or Go Fish!

Hm... and if there had to be a reserve plan for a 2600 project on a smaller scale, what would that be then? :)

I dunno. I have something like 5-10 :) projects in various states that are kicking around.

Let's see if I can remember what they all are:

-The Arkanoid clone/port I sort of started

-The Cosmic Guerrilla port I mocked up

-The Robotron port/clone I just mocked up

-I spent some time in the last year mocking up a Tank Battalion port

-Final Defense, the non-moving first-person anti-aircraft shooter.

-And I do have another big project kicking around, the Metroid port. Which I've been thinking about morphing into a Contra clone. ;)

That's all I can think of right now. I'm pretty sure there are a few other projects that have caught my fancy briefly over the last year or two. ;)

Of those, probably Tank Battalion and Final Defense are the most likely.

I don't understand why it's so difficult for developers to focus on a single project. Working on multiple Atari projects at the same time is just plain silly.

I hope you'll find some more interest in the Robotron port. It looks pretty cool so far. Even a bit too fast ;)

Maybe...I've kinda lost interest for the moment, actually. I'm just not very familiar with Robotron - I've never played any version of it, ever! :)

Except maybe for a minute or two with MAME. I have played, and loved, similar games, like Geometry Wars and Smash T.V., so maybe.

Is there any way to speed that up a bit? Today is the 16th already, so there's only 4 more days left before the window where I can order it still this year will close ;)

I'll see what I can do...

Why didn't you help testing the X-Mas binaries then? Now the PAL versions are all "best viewed" on my TV ;)

I had no time following the development before Christmas. And then I lost track.

That's too bad, you probably could have finished X-Race as the last of the game ROMs were posted this morning for supercat to consolidate with the menu.

Yes, I lately wondered about that option too.

But then, my spare time was also well invested into BD instead. ;)

I'll help where I can, just let me know! ;)

I'll probably need you or somebody to test on hardware. I'll let you know.

I can.

Please see the Homebrew Forum! ;)

Hopefully it will see the light of day.

Hmm - in case you're not familiar with that phrase, hopefully it will be released.
