Chimera update roundup
I'll probably have a real update within a week or so but last I heard from Delicon (recently) he was back to work on the final PCB layout. He told me he found a new microSD slot that allows the ARM to know at all times whether a card is inserted or not, which should enable the media to be more hot-swappable. So the engineering improvements continue right on down to the wire
As you know, I'm curious to see what those repro 2600 cart cases are going to go for. I may not be able to buy into them. It depends on how much my time is worth recycling old carts that cost less or new carts that are ready to go but cost more. I already have a very very good quote on bulk used carts. However that goes, I have a BIG surprise planned for the Chimera label. I wish I could let the cat out of the bag, but I'm thinking about keeping it under wraps until I ship it, kind of like an easter-egg, and leave it to forum members to fight to be first to reveal the secret. Hopefully I can work out the logistics because I think people will really go wild over it. I will get the ball rolling on the final packaging once the beta boards are validated. In the meantime, I'll let you all speculate
