Well, my parents cracked and told me that they were sick of the fact that I've never had a half-way decent car. My said that I deserved something better so they helped me pick out a car yesterday. I still owe them money, but they're not going to be as strict about it due to my financial situation. The car is a 1999 Hyundai Accent GS with 73k miles. We bought it yesterday and since it had been sitting on a lot for 6 months, a problem arose with the fuel filter. The car's back at the dealer and hopefully I'll have it in a day or two. Kinda sucks, but I'm pretty sure that's the only problem. Looked it over inside and out before buying it. It has some mild scratches on the front fender. Nothing that another fender couldn't fix, as I plan to replace it with one from a parts car eventually. The car is an automatic. It's green with a beige interior. No power windows or locks. It does have a strong A/C system though. The radio is cool. The brakes were kinda wonky but the mechanic suggested that it might be rust from 6 months of sitting on a lot. Hopefully, it is. Don't need anymore problems with cars. I can't wait to get it back. If I can ever save up enough money, I'm gonna trick it out because I've wanted a 2 door hatchback for years. I had a Golf and I loved it so this car reminds me a lot of it, mainly because it's simple and the interior is the same color. I've read nothing but good things about Accents. They have been known to get good gas mileage for one thing, which is what I REALLY need, since gas prices are ludicrous in this area. As for my Dodge, my dad's trying to sell it so he can use the money towards my debt. I'd shave a bit off what I owe. It's either that, or give it to my brother. The transmission is too weak though so I doubt he'll do that.Hopefully, I can move on once I get the car back. :DI'll post pictures when I get it back.
