Hi there!
Here we go again, playing another weird 3D game from Firebird:
This one was actually advertised as "Elite Sequel" in Happy Computer mag. Even though it has nothing to do with Elite at all. 'Xcept wireframe graphics that is. And again it came with a 60 page novel telling the background story.
Of course I didn't read that, but the manual, which reveals that your mission is to open a post nuclear bunker in order to free the last living humans being trapped in there, starving. The bunker was sealed by a computer brain, which is controlling a couple of droids. The only hope is a small hacker droid which is still in control of the humans.
So in this game you're exploring a 3D city, paralysing evil droids in order to hack them and get them under your control. They all have different abilities. Some can fly, some can hack, some can fight, some are immune against radiation.
The graphics are very bad and extremely slow. I'm playing with having VICE emulate the C64 thrice as fast
Still doesn't help too much, the graphics are still horrible, basically you don't see anything clearly; I think the game is overly ambitious for an 8-Bit machine.
Well, for a start I hacked a few robots and a few computers, often consulting a walkthrough, since basically I don't have the slightest clue of what I'm supposed to do in this game
Greetings,
Manuel
