Password Protected.

I've decided that the makers of Playstation and Playstation II need to come up with password protected memory cards. If they had invented those back in the year 2000, I might still have my saved game from Suikoden, the one that my brother erased by accident. And I might still have my saved game from Legend of the Dragoon, the one that Ed erased, on purpose. Not that it matters quite as much, as I have already beaten that particular game a few times. Still, it's the principle of the thing. Memory cards are so insecure. Anyone can borrow them, erase them, and overwrite your important saves with their ridiculous tetris scores. Not that I'm knocking Tetris; I happen to love it. But getting a new high score in Tetris is hardly worth erasing my saved game of Final Fantasy VII, when I'm at the end of the third disc, when I had just managed to beat Emerald Weapon. There's a hierarchy, of what's the most important, and I'm sorry, but Tetris just pales in comparison. If the PS II can have a parental code on it, then I'm sure they could make password protected memory cards. If they felt like it. If anyone else in the gaming community actually gave a damn about it, like I do. I suppose it's a moot point, if there's no market. Still, think of all the hundreds of thousands of games that would be saved, games of importance, saved from the evil fate of nothingness at the hands of an incompetent sibling, an angry parent, a jilted lover. We must save the games.~Me~
