Another reason to hate Windows

Tax time again. So I try installing TurboTax on my business laptop which is running Vista and the thing errors at the end with an unknown installer error. To add insult to injury, it won't even fully UNinstall. I can't repair it. I can't uninstall it or reinstall. It's in zombie-land. Luckily the CD is dual-platform so I popped it into my daughter's Mac Mini and had no trouble installing it there, thanks in part to the fact that installing software on the Mac is almost always little more than dragging a file or folder to the applications folder!

Now, I blew out one of my hard drives on my main PC and since then have been just running the business laptop my job loaned to me, but I was intending to upgrade the motherboard in the case and use EFIX to install OSX on it. Experiences like this only make me feel even better about doing that (when the time comes).

I used the online version of TurboTax this year (on a Mac). It was pretty sweet. The nice bit, is you can fully try it out, before purchasing, to see if you can really get anything out of it or not.
