Hi there!
How could I resist playing a game offering such beautiful sights:
Coming from the team that already did the Cybernoid games, this definitely is one of the most gorgeous looking C64 games ever. Same goes for the equally fantastic music.
So what's the catch? Well, this game is ultra-hard. It's one for the hardcore hardcore gamers, that make fun of other hardore gamers. Think NES G'n'G hard, with an extra dose of unfairness added :o
It's actually so hard, that even all the walkthrough videos I've seen on youtube were recorded with cheats/trainers on. The comments on Lemon64 range from impossible to unplayable
Well, I did manage to beat it without cheating, kinda, just state saving every 3 seconds
Some words regarding the gameplay: You're playing a fantasy warrior on a mission to rescue some little fairies, half a dozen of which are trapped in each of the 4 levels. The levels are a mixture of puzzles, which is by far the easier bit, and enemies that are respawning faster than you can kill them.
Fun fact: In the Mega Drive version the fairies are wearing bikinis
Unfun fact: After the 4th level it just loops back to the first
Some future day the "Playing..." series may see it's sequel "Deliverance", but first it'll continue with something else.
Greetings,
Mauel
