Exhausted

Damn. I worked 13.5 hours today and I am nearly ready to hit the sack. It was interesting though because whenever we get a lot of overtime, my dept seems to work better together. We do slack off a bit but mostly, we do everything that we can possibly do to stay busy. Had to help one of my co-workers unload a trailer full of trash bags, since our compactor still hasn't arrived. Talk about a group effort. Had a really good talk with my boss this morning and he was telling me about how the system of raises works. I've been working there for 6 months and he told me that I'll be eligible for a raise in November. He did say that depending on the percentage of the raises, that he'd give me the maximum allowed. If that's not a vote of confidence, I don't know what it is. I'd be happy with even another $1.50 on top of what I make now. More than that would be nice as well but I'll have to keep working and see.I've got 3 more days of 12+ hours a day. I bet there will be a big party Friday night after everyone finishes working. I'm not really sure, but I'm going to try and sleep REALLY early on Thurs night so I can work upwards to 16-18 hours. When the money is good, how could one resist? Also, business will not be picking up again until December so might as well get the time in while I still can and get a decent paycheck. It should be easier. I am 40lbs lighter than I was in February, which was the last time we were really busy at work. I think I can top my performance in February by working even more hours and getting as much done as possible.
