HELLO Atari AGE!

Hi guys, just wanted to join your awesome site and begin discussing Atari Consoles with like-minded individuals. I couldn't see a section to introduce myself, I may be blind, so I thought I'd just post a little hello.

I'm in no way a Gigantic Atari fan, I just wanna get that out there so we are clear. The reason I say this is because a lot of you will probably think I'm not leet or something because I only really got into Atari when the Lynx and then Jaguar came out. Don't get me wrong, I love Atari, both as a company and its products, lets just say my memory and therefore love of consoles only goes back as far as about 1988 lol.

Check out my "About Me" for more information. Anyway I just wanted to be clear that I'm an absolute noob when it comes to old school Atari, in a sense that I was only born in 82 and did not experience the innitial wave of Atari consoles and products. We had one, but I was WAY too young to remember, however I had a Lynx from a pretty young age and I loved it to bits. then my brother bought a Jaguar and it kind of became ours/mine when he got a playstation and a few other bits. I remember having the Kasumi Ninja Bandana and Cybermorph and Temptest 2000 etc.

We sold it all in the late 90's because I really wanted to get a Playstation, so I had no jag, no lynx and no Atari in general.

A few years later I was incredibly fortunate to stumble across a MASSIVE stock clearance at the Game Store in a shopping centre called Lakeside, we went in just looking for games etc and they had a massive double shelved unit holding JUST Atari Jaguars and Lynx, with all peripherals and games and EVERYTHING. The best thing was that it was all brand new never opened. Apparently they had emptied a warehouse and found a bunch of left over stock and unsold stuff. So I bought a brand new jaguar with 2 controllers, a scart and a couple of the classic games along with a new Lynx.

Since then I've been slowly building up a collection for both machines, I have 10 games for the Lynx and 18 currently for the Jaguar, I really DESPERATELY want an Atari Jaguar CD add on but can't find one anywhere for a reasonable price but hey, that's another story.

Anyway I just wanted to say hi, tell you a little about me and hopefully I'll make a few like-minded Atari gaming friends via this site, look forward to talking with you all.
