Tektronix 4052

ClausB

Unique microcomputer with a vector scan storage type CRT, programmable in BASIC. My astrophysics professor had one and hired me to program simulated stellar collisions.

The 4052 was _unbelievably_ neat...also _unbelievably_ EXPENSIVE...but damn, neat... People today can't understand the importance of the 4000 series terminals and computers..they provided a high resolution graphic display, when there was no silicon memory density to do so.

I'm fortunate to have purchased in 2000 a Tektronix 19" 4054 computer that I got working, and I have gotten two 4907 8 inch Floppy drive systems working, along with a 4924 GPIB Tape Drive.Working4054_4924_and_2x4907.thumb.jpg.bef23c55a67ed14cef3ecf863f08a17a.jpg
