sandmountainslim
When they programmed the Missile Command sounds on the Jakks Joystick game?? Sounds like crap, was it unintentional or were they trying to "improve" the original? WP
mos6507
It uses Nintendo 8-bit technology. The NES sound chip can not do noise type effects the way the 2600 can.
Flojomojo
They were thinking, "Let's get this POS out the door so we can make some $$$$! The longer we sit on it, the more it costs us!" To be fair, the Jakks Atari stick isn't terrible for what it is, especially with the sound off.
Retro Rogue
It uses Nintendo 8-bit technology. The NES sound chip can not do noise type effects the way the 2600 can. Jakks doesn't use the NOAC, it has its own custom platform.
Clint Thompson
I got this stick for Christmas.... and was pleased. After playing Yar's Revenge though, I can sickenly feel the non-2600 here and it just lost the good vibe I had for it initially. As some would put it.... Close, but no cigar!
