Don't come back and say you made a typo either! :x

edit

So there was no typo-- it was only a failure to read. Sorry.

Sometimes I get a little touchy if someone claims to beat one of my records and can't back it up with proof; especially one where I played until I defeated the Great Todd Rogers.

This game is frustrating as heck!

Sometimes I think I'm playing really lousy and then I usually score about 14 or 15.

Other times, I think I'm playing like a champ. Those games, I usually score about 14 or 15.

Grrrr.

I've been playing for days without much improvement.

My high score remains mired at 17, which is where it's been since Saturday.

I didn't take a screenshot because I was determined to hit 19 or 20.

Doesn't look like it's gonna happen (but I'm gonna keep trying!)

So ...

My high score: 17

Nathan tells me to let go of the joystick, and Rom Hunter tells me to not let go. Some conflicting ideas of joystick handling on Freeway.
Well, in case Ze_ro is going to accept this Half-God score of 32, I'll try to explain my tip to get even:

As in most action video games, your thoughts are your worst enemy.

The split second that you think shall I cross the lane or shall I wait for the cars to pass? is exactly the split second that is needed to just cross it.

You'll be amazed how many times you actually CAN cross the lanes if you immediately follow your impuls to do it.

What I'm saying is:

You won't get a real high-score by waiting.

If you follow your impuls to cross the road (slipping through two slow moving cars or getting almost hit by a front bumper) you'll eventually get a much higher score.

Hence: don't let go of the joystick (or: don't be chicken).

And here's my best tip:

Extremely high scores should be shown by presenting a screenshot...

8)

I'll append my previous tip... let go of the joystick, if you keep slamming into traffic over and over and the game becomes an agonizing source of frustration. ;)

AFAIK, rjchamp3's posts are being held pending moderator approval, which is why his response now appears before all the indignant folks; I'll assume the best and guess that his post hadn't appeared when they...cast votes. Cast votes?

EDIT: And seriously folks, playing with the wrong difficulty setting/game selection is VERY common, sure, RJ can be, um, "unique" at times, but that's no real cause for rude remarks.

I have yet to see any respone from him.

OMG-- there is a response above that was not there before. I didn't know that was possible????

Thanks for pointing that out vdub_bobby.
