Controller calibration

How do I go about calibrating the controllers? Every time I play Buck Rogers or Miner 2049er I can't move the joystick to the right, but it works fine for all the other games I have (although Super Breakout has some issues). Is there a pot in the console I can adjust for the calibration?

Best Electronics (http://www.best-electronics-ca.com/) walked me through it for my 2-porter, and you should probably give their site a once-over for detailed instructions. But from memory the gist of it is:

1) open up your 5200

2) put in a missile command cart, center the stick

3) there's a little pot in the lower-right corner of the console, near the video out cable that controls both horiz and vert centering

4) it's EXTREMELY sensitive, but you can turn it ever so slightly to get the Missile Command cursor centered horizontally and vertically.

5) after adjusting, move the stick around and make sure it moves evenly and fully left/right

6) test with some other games like Breakout or Pac Man to make sure you have full movement

I'm pretty new to the 5200, so you should probably check out another source, but those steps worked great for me and it was pretty easy. ;)

I need to do this as well! I have 3 or 4 rebuilt controllers and all of them have problems detecting the far left; they aren't calibrated quite correctly.

Having rebuilt controllers that ARE calibrated perfectly, I see not problems with the 5200 controller.
