I saw a 400 with that Keyboard at the "Classic Computing" event last year. it had some broken solderjoints at the joystick port, which i fixed. i took the chance to test the keyboard as well. IMHO its not as good as the original 800 one but in fact WAY better than the membrane keyboard.

greets,

Beetle

many thanks, is it yours?

how easy is it to fit?

is it any better than the standard membrane?

No, not mine. I found the pic on the internet. I would like to get one though, for my mint in box 400. I think it would be much better than the membrane one.

I was un-decided, so just orderd a stock membrane from B + C ( I love the uncluttered lines of the 400), they have a used In Home 'board for $25 BTW

Yeh, I saw that. I may break down and get it here soon. I am always watching on ebay for one also, mounted or not. If I found a 400 with one installed, I'd get that and leave my boxed one stock.
