Yeh plopped down $60 USD (which is a great deal I think) for this game, and it is interesting, but unless there is a way to select the view so that I can view from behind the ship or in the cockpit this game is just simply "interesting".

The trench missions are my favorite. You get a blazing-fast sense of speed, and I love rotating the entire screen while dodging barriers and collecting powerups. Even the end-of-level fight sequence was pretty cool. I've sold a number of Jaguars at gaming cons like CGE and PhillyClassic just due to Z5 and Prot SE.

 

But I admit, it's a pretty tough game even on the easy setting... learning the patterns is crucial, as ZB indicated.

 

Just wished my MAS Pro Stick's rapid fire worked on this game.

It works great with the Jaguar RFC... my favorite way of playing this game!

Well, having played Zero5 at last, I think I will say this game is one of those games "you want to like but can't".

 

 

Right. It still feels incomplete to me as well. It's just missing

something or maybe even a few things.

The Fighter mode is the least enjoyable mode, Trench and Gunner mode are really excellent IMO.
