NCST to Pal

I know the pal system and games do not work well on most US sets but what about the other way around. will a NCST work on a euorpe pal format or is it completly not compatible. I don't think it will work but i needed to know for sure to answer a customers question correctly. thanks for any help or info on the subject. TOM

Hey Tom. It will work pretty much the same way either way. If you try to play a NTSC on a PAL system and TV, it will cause it roll and have a "wierd" color scheme just as if you tried to play a PAL on a NTSC system and TV. If their PAL tv has a vertical hold, fine tuning that should take care of the rolling problem, but still facing the "wierd" coloring. I don't think anything can be done for this, but maybe someone else here would know that.

Many modern TV can sync to NTSC signals, so only the colors will be wrong. And if your TV has problems, try to use a VCR tuner. Most of them can handle the NTSC signal.

 

And if you need your VCR for something else, try buying a mechanically broken VCR on a fleamarket. They are very cheap.

my one and only pal game, klax, works perfectly fine on my us tv and 7800
