strattsp
I did the A/V S-Video mod on the 2600 FAQ - the hard one - and the picture looks great. my only question / complaint is that there is some interference coming in. It is especially easy to see it when the screen is mostly black. It looks similar to RF interference, except not as bad. Any suggestions? I have pinpointed my problem, and due to the undewhelming respose to this thread, now I know why I am the only one having this problem. I have one of the first Zenith TVs to offer S-video. ch 90 is S-video, ch 91 is Input 1 (DVD). All I had to do was turn off the DVD player. BTW: The Chroma signal on the 2600 seems to be plenty strong without the amplification. I ran it through a 2K resistor and then a 1mF cap a la the 5200 mod, and the color is just fine. -Steve
