StanJr
I was playing Q*Bert tonight on Difficulty A (since I rolled the Diff. B) and something odd happened. I was on the grey/blue/ bright green pyramid (right before the dark yellow/pink/blue pyramid). I cleared the pyramid and instead of advancing to the next pyramid, the game repeated the one I was just on. I had to play the grey/blue/green pyramid all over again! Anybody else experience anything like this with Q*Bert? Repeat Stan
KAZ
No it has not StanJr. When it does I will respond to this thread at the appropriate time.
Big Player
Stan, it's the freaking heat, man. 96 degrees today in Cincy, so you had to be close to that. Your Atari's overheating, that's my theory.
moycon
Perhaps Q*Bert felt like you hadn't given it your all on that level and decided that you needed to put forth a little more effort, so he made you give it a do-over??? Either that or I'll go with the StanJr smokes crack theory.
ATARIPITBULL
Maybe you had a case of Dejavue!!!
Scott Stilphen
I'm starting to think that system of yours needs to be replaced (or maybe the power supply is going). You have glitches happen with your games that nobody else does
NE146
So Stan.. you try playing the arcade game recently? (or at least qbert on mame)? If you're anything like me then your skills on the 2600 cart should translate quite nicely to the arcade version. It's one of the few 2600 games imho that you can actually "practice" for the real thing
StanJr
yeah, I smoked it up on the Q*BERT machine at Philly thanks in great part to all my VCS time. Yer right about that! I think Scott is right, its this blasted 4switch woodgrain! Who wants to send me a Jr or a Vader?
