ziggystar
Hello all. I was playing with 5200 eprom boards and fried 2 5200 motherboards. they shorted out something. the screen is yellow. The VCS 2600 adapter still works but no 5200 games. any clue as to what to look for? a diode or chip? thanks!
ataribernie
I don't know how to help you, but I've broken 3 5200s. You're lucky that your unit powers up! I remember the resistors popping in one of mine; it sounded just like popcorn!
ziggystar
The latest, the boards had a line of solder on the bottom, a defect. that shorted out all the front pins pins at once. what chips are connected to those pins? that might narrow it down.
