Segataritensoftii
The time has finally come! Wiiflash.org is making an engine capable of using the wiimote, nunchuk, and classic controller to enhance the gameplay of flash games greatly and potentially provide a way for small developers to take advantage of the Wiimote's features. It could also be used for MMO games, something the Wii's needed for a long time. There's also a version for the Papervision 3D engine, meaning we might be seeing some 3D games later on. Now all that's needed is a port to Flash 7(both the Wiimote engine and the Papervision engine) so we can play these games on the actual system. jbanes
Now all that's needed is a port to Flash 7(both the Wiimote engine and the Papervision engine) so we can play these games on the actual system. WiiFlash will NOT work on the actual Wii system. People keep bringing this up and I keep having to shoot them down. (Sorry.) WiiFlash is just another Desktop PC driver for the Wii Remote. The primary difference is that it focuses on providing Flash compatibility for desktop flash games. I spoke with them a bit, and it looks like they're going to add support for my WiiCade API. Which means that the WiiCade games will all be playable on your Desktop machine with your Wii Remote. Porting this to Flash 7 would accomplish absolutely nothing, as the "magic" is in the PC Bluetooth driver itself. Since we can't install such a driver on the Wii itself, you'll have to make due with a solution like the WiiCade API.
