Atari plan to sponser the 2006 World Cup

Thats a real image guys. The stadium (if you can call it that :D ) belongs to Brentford FC, a football team based in west London.

 

They play in the 2nd division which is pretty poor.

 

Ive just mailed Al another cool shot of the football shirt in action, if he can oblige ;)

May I add that its a damn good thing to see companys like Infogrames sponsering some of the poorer teams. Thanks to a failed pay TV company doing 'an Enron' or something the English football league lost £300 million in tv rights funding and many of the poor clubs are facing closure.

That's very cool. 8) But does this mean Infogrames focus will be only on the European market?  Or is it already their only focus? (I know they are a French company.)

 

Im not sure about what markets they are going for but I can tell you it wont be a significant investment.

 

A team like Brentford will probably get about £150,000 for a main sponsership deal per season.
