Miles Tails Prower
Last night, I was playing Ms. Pac-Man, and the weirdest "bug" came up. I ran into a wall, and went into the wall. I was movin' the joystick around, and got out, and every time I got out of that wall, I got teleported to the nest level! Is that screwed-up or what? Adrian M
Never heard of that, but I do remember the 2600 version of Pac-Man and the tunnel glitch that would occur ever so often....if you went through the tunnel on the bottom, on rare occassions, you would sometimes come out of the top tunnel and continue heading downward through the maze walls. I never could figure out how or why this occured, but it was a cool trick to see when it did occur!
Scott Stilphen
That was a bug I discovered years ago. Each maze has a specific area that, once you go into the wall, you can warp to the next level. I used this trick to roll the score to see if anything happens (nothing does). See the link below to find out more about it.
Tempest
Was that info there before or is this an undocumented update to the Easter Egg page? Tempest
NE146
wow. a stage-warp... who woulda thought. I LOVE 2600 Mspac. So that is one very interesting bug!
Scott Stilphen
Wha...you doubt the 'master of Easter eggs'? Ok, if you need proof, check out the 2600 Connection issues #14 (where I first mention it's possible to go into the walls) and #20 (where by then I had discovered how warp to different levels, and used that technique to do level warps in Kangaroo)
