DamienC
The plug where the switchbox cable goes on the rear of my 7800 is VERY loose, and I have to jiggle it a lot before I can get a decent picture. I'm worried that if I keep doing that it might break off, because it also looks like the metal box it's attached to is ready to come loose. Can anyone offer some advice? +Mitch
If you have a friend who is handy with a soldering iron they should be able to fix it fairly easily. Mitch http://atari7800.atari.org
DamienC
Nevermind... it just died. I was trying to play Xenophobe and the picture was coming in fuzzy, so I jiggled the cable... then I heard a sound as if something came loose and the picture went to hell. Now the silver box thingy makes a rattling noise (as if there's some piece of metal or plastic inside it) and no picture comes up at all for ANY games. I'm very VERY upset right now. Anyone know a cheap place to get a 7800 deck besides eBay?
+Mitch
Sounds like the RF modulator has a problem. Probably still fixable if you can find someone with a little electronics experience. Mitch http://atari7800.atari.org
