Atari Lynx AC Cord

Hey. I just got my first Lynx today. It is a model 2 system. I like it very much. What I dont like is simmilar to the Game Gear I have noticed it eats batteries so I am looking to obtain a AC cord for it so I do not need to eat up batteries when I wish to play it at home. So my question is this....where can I find an official AC cord for the system and how much do they usually go for? I do not want to go the ebay route so please dont mention that place. How hard are they to come by? Are there any 3rd party cord that is cheap that will work on the lynx that I could get to use until I can find an official cord?

Let me know

Thanks

i took my Lynx II to Radio shack, gave it to the guy and said "give me an adapter that will make this work." we matched up what they had to the specifications and i've been running my Lynx off the Radio shack adapter for years with no problems.

I guess i'll have to check out radio shack. The Last Time I went to Radio Shack to look for a power cord was for my old Turbo Express I used to have...they couldnt help me they said. After that I have pretty much avoided RS for older systems.

I will take your advice and try it.

well most ac adapters now adays at Radio shack, you buy the plug and the adapter seperate, so more than likely they will have a 9v adapter with a plug that will fit your lynx II.

I picked up a genuine Atari Lynx AC Adapter from Ebay for $7 + shipping - I think it came to about $12 total. You're not likely to pay less than that at Radio Shack, and having a "matching" OEM adapter is cool... :)
