GC games played on the Wii

How do they do? i havea GC and am getting a Wii soon enough. I will want to play the GC games on it. Right now I'm playing Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and on the GC the graphics are very jerky and the controls are sometimes slow to respond. There are other games like this, too, that I have. Does the Wii run them much better? How about load times? Faster??

Sorry if these questions have already been asked. I haven't seen the threads.

As far as I can tell, the Wii is identical to a Gamecube when in 'cube mode. It doesn't seem to enhance anything, if that's what you're wondering. Occasionally I experience some slowdown in Rogue Squadron II, but the GC slowed down in the same places. Everything else I've tried has run perfectly.

If your GC game is running jerky it's probably because of bad coding, not the hardware. I don't expect the Wii would run it any better in that case.

ive seen a couple of demo gamecubes running games at really slow frame rates, so there may be something wrong with your cube.

the wii does have the benefit of playing cube games in progressive mode, doing that on the cube required an expensive/hard-to-find cable

the biggest loss is the lack of a gameboy player

I see. The other game I ran on it, Chamber of Secrets ran perfect. It seems that it's a newer game for slightly older hardware that is the GC. Azkaban was also available for the PS2 and I haven't read any reviews that say the problem is the same. Ah well. Thanks for the info.

It might be dusty. I'm in the desert of El Paso, after all, everything gets dusty here. I can see if blowing it out helps.
