XTClaus
Hi everyone! I have had a defect 6-switch. I have repaired it by inserting a new IC-chip from my "aerodynamic" console and voila - it is alive now. But now my beautiful aerodynamic console is without this chip. My dealer (for all Germans it is Conrad Electronic) could not help me by finding that chip. He had one with nearly the same printed on in his list but he could not deliver that one because it's not build anymore. The working chip from the aerodynamic one has the following printed on it: UMC, UM 6526P1, 9036S, 621500 and the defect one from the woody 6-switch: MA C011903-11, M1064 106A021H, 8120 Do you have an idea what to use instead of these chips? Both are from PAL-machines...
cwilkson
Try Best Electronics, in California. They will have PAL TIA chips. http://www.best-electronics-ca.com/
XTClaus
It's a very cool dealer, but... the states are so far away for a little boy from the old continent. Is there a way to find out where the chip is also used or which other chips I could use instead? Do I have to use only the TIA-Chip? Is this chip only build for Atari? Is it special????
