BigWiger
(Quote from the doors just incase you diddn't know) Well I don't quite want the world, but I want the second best thing, a 4 switch Atari system. Do any of you know a site on the internet that sells them cheap (and don't say e-bay, I have tried.) Thanks

bangles66
Also a quote from Charlie and the chocolate factory, is it not? yes thats was where i first though of when i read the thread title. As far as finding a store that sells atari look in the phone book under videogames. you didn't mention where you are from so i can't give any specific info. In my travels all over north america, whenever I stop a motel i grap the phone book and look for stores that have games. I usually find at least one that sells classic games (also check some comic book stores).
Rob Mitchell
You mean .. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory? Is the quote from "Back Door Man" by the Jim and the Doors ? Lost Monkey
No... he means "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone". @Bigwiger: If you do look again on eBay, just look at the "Buy-it-Now" auctions that are newly listed as once in a while an unsuspecting seller will list one with a low "Buy-it-Now" option... Chris++
Yes, sung by the spoiled brat Veruca Salt, after whom the (unbelievably kick-ass) hard rock band is named. Actual veruca salt is a salt that one rubs on his warts (verucas) to make them go away; it's a rather old-fashioned cure. So the name of the character herself was a sort of pun. The Doors song quoted is "When the Music's Over." Awwwww yeah. (<-- Said like Chef) CF
Big Player
I always wanted to see a movie version of the sequel, Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator. Those Vermicious Knids scared the crap out of me as a kid. But then, so did Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Some TV show recently parodied it--I believe Family Guy--and after the scene on the boat, there was the line "This is a kid's movie?" megamanical
Oh yeah, I wanted to comment on the Willy Wonka thing too! (even though it's not Atari related). I thought Gene Wilder in that show was the scariest man ever! The Ooompa loomas were frightening also. I thought I was the only one that was scared of that show.. I still am!
