LarcenTyler (6 pts) 4. vdub_bobby (4 pts) Game Info Coin-op originally released by Taito in 1985; ported to the NES by Pony and released in the US in 1986. Other platforms: Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, Commodore 64, TurboGrafx-16, ZX Spectrum Related games: None, as far as I can tell. Tips From MobyGames.com You shoot crates to get pickups. If you shoot the crate when it is green you get a bomb pickup, if you shoot it when it is red you get a mini helicopter that attaches to one of your sides shooting sideways, and if you shoot it when it is white you get a mini helicopter shooting forward. If you shoot 10 crates with a yellow diamond shape you get an extra life. LarcenTyler: First off, the diamonds are red-purple, not yellow. Lauren Tyler
58,800 First off, the diamonds are red-purple, not yellow. And secondly, I must say the music isn't all that bad, but whoever wrote it must've been a novice in composition of music!
vdub_bobby
I bought this game last night at Pink Godzilla, so I'm hoping to get some good playing in before next Tuesday.
vdub_bobby
216,870 This has pretty good gameplay, but the levels start repeating after something like the 4th level! There are more, and new, enemies and they shoot faster, but still! I was a little disappointed. Still, a pretty good game all in all. Good action, no cheap kills. Took me a while, though, to figure out how to know how many bombs I had left - then I noticed that they are hanging on the side of my chopper! Kind of a cool touch, though maybe a little too subtle. Also - does anyone know why sometimes your heli automatically drops a bomb to prevent you from getting shot but sometimes doesn't? PressureCooker2600
I can't believe out of the 230 or so NES games I have.....I don't have this one. This game is awesome. Definately not as hard Sky Shark.....but still hard cause I'm playing it on an emulator with ......keyboard controls.......
PressureCooker2600
32410 Probably the best I'll get since these keyboard controls are killing me. Hopefully, I'll have the next game.

bubufubu
1,559,070 I have no idea what loop I was on when I lost my last life. I've never done this well before (previous best is in the 550,000 range on a console this past summer). I was just hoping for a 500,000 point run and I would have been satisfied with that. That second loop behavior from the enemies is brutal. I managed to rack up 11 spare lives at one point and the game just whittled them down. Luckily, I got in a groove for a little while. For a few loops, I think I was earning enough free lives to cancel out the 1 or 2 deaths. I'm fairly confident that I could do better than this on a console as I came up with some decent strategies for several different areas.
