Math You
Quick question! Do the graphics on a Nintendo Wii suffer from jagged edges or stair casing when used with a conventional TV or do the jaggies only show up when screenshots are displayed on a PC monitor? Thanks Matt
+-^CrossBow^-
The Wii can antialias the graphics...but apparently it has to reduce itself to some 16bit precision mode to do it. In other words, the jaggies are there even on conventional TVs, but aren't as noticeable on standard defintion CRT type TVs. On my CRT HDTV I can still see them, but then again, I still have to play all my PC games with AA turned off so I'm more or less used to this in my graphics. Doesn't bother me at all... +remowilliams
The Wii is hideously jaggy on an HD set. The blurrier an SD set is the less you will notice them.

I wouldn't go so far and say hideously. Hideously would be more along the lines of PS1 games. But yes there are jaggies but they don't bother me on my 34" HDTV. BydoEmpire
I notice them if I really look for them, but it's not all that bad. Then again, I don't really notice them playing ps2/xbox/cube games, either. I'm playing on a 32" HDTV.
